Webbrowser: Chrome

Expected result: There is a button that triggers deep link on my website. This deep link triggers the app automatically if the app is installed.
Real result: My test go over the chrome and clicks on the button but the app is not being triggered. Chrome does not do anything.
How can I achieve to trigger app from web browser within the test cycle? Should there be any specific capability setup?
