How to handle push notification in iOS Appium

Hi,

I wanted to get information about how to handle push notification in iOS using Appium.
I have read many threads but everywhere its mentioned that it is not possible.

Then I just came through this bug:

One of the comment in this bug says this:
“The way to handle push notifications is to change the settings to have push notifications show up as system alerts, then use appium to automate those system alerts.”

Can someone shed more light on this?
Which settings we can change?
How can we automate system alerts?
